Sandra Touschner, CAPM, is a Project Manager with 15 years of experience working in the fields of outcome measurements, patient advocacy, healthcare management and project management in a variety of healthcare, non-profit and government settings. A trouble shooter known for her problem solving abilities, she is a highly efficient and detail oriented project leader who successfully completes projects with accuracy and precision.
Touschner provides project management support to The Center’s Member Services department. Her main responsibilities include project management of The Center’s healthcare workforce initiative, NEONI, and strategic leadership of the Healthcare Job Shadowing program. She also supports the hospital finance and reimbursement initiative; The Center’s non-profit board, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant project called the Hospital Quality Network.
Touschner came to The Center from University Hospitals Case Medical Center, where she spent nearly five years as the Manager of the Patient Care Advocate Office solving patient and family complaints. She also led that hospital’s Service Excellence initiative. Prior to working in patient advocacy at UH, she worked at The Cleveland Clinic as a Patient Service Associate on a cardiothoracic surgery unit and as the Faculty Affairs Coordinator for the newly created Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
Touschner has professional memberships with both the national and local chapters of the Project Management Institute. She serves on the leadership team of the local chapter as the Director of New Member Communications. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Bowling Green State University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She also holds a Master of Science in Social Administration degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University. She is a credentialed Certified Associate in Project Management through the Project Management Institute. Lastly, Touschner holds a Gold Certification from the Mystery Shopping Providers Association and performs mystery shops for businesses all over Northeast Ohio.
A Cleveland native, Touschner currently resides in the Fairfax neighborhood of Cleveland with her husband, Phil.
