StudentMAX™ Key Benefits:
« All existing clinical partnerships between schools and facilities remain intact.
« Clinical facilities are able to have their entire clinical placement schedule for an academic year in one database that is viewed in real-time.
« StudentMAX™ is designed so that schools and facilities throughout Ohio can be grouped by region to easily distinguish and sort clinical placement information.
« The database for clinical placements is “rolled over” from the current academic year to the next - only changes or new requests need to be updated. This negates the need to create a new schedule annually and virtually eliminates errors or duplication.
« Additional clinical placements needed by schools may be submitted at anytime and reviewed by the Nurse Coordinator or System Administrator within 24-48 hours.
« Faculty or Clinical Managers have the ability to “pull up” existing placements for a semester or academic year for their course or for their unit.
« All participating schools are notified throughout the year when a new clinical placement opportunity becomes available.
« The amount of time a faculty member or clinical liaison spends in placing a student(s) clinically is substantially reduced, resulting in reduced cost, reduced frustration and greater efficiency.
« A StudentMAX™ Nurse Coordinator and System Administrator are available and responsible for supporting and managing all participating schools and clinical agencies from start-up and including daily operations.
« Participation in the program includes materials, meetings, annual software, hosting fees and staff support. Staff is available by phone and electronic communication during regular business hours to users throughout the service period. On-site visits are also available to assist staff on an as needed basis.
« A customized User Manual for hospitals and schools of nursing is provided along with access to the Online Student Clinical Orientation manual. This is a program encompassing the basic elements of a hospital facility student nurse orientation program (safety, disaster, precautions, HIPAA) including a final test that can be used to meet JCAHO requirements.
« Annual fees are structured based on student enrollment in a pre-licensure program or the number of registered/licensed beds in a hospital. Evaluation data is collected before and after implementing the StudentMAX™ program to determine staff cost and time savings for individual users and in the aggregate.
