StudentMAX™ Helpful Hints
This page is designed to emphasize the important new features of the StudentMAX™ software, what they mean and how they work.
Status Code Definitions
· "Active"
Placements currently approved and scheduled
· Schools utilizing a “Temporary Release":
If you elect to give up a placement for one semester, you may process a "Change Placement Request" form for that placement. Click the “C” and change the Status from “Active” to “Temp Rel.” You may enter a comment if you wish. Then click “Submit.” If you choose to take advantage of a released placement you now have the option to sort for these by highlighting Temp Rel in your dropdown. Select the placement, click on the “C” and select “Request this Placement” at the top of the form. Enter your SON and click “Submit.”
· Hospitals submitting an “Open” Placement:
Under Pending Placements, select “Submit a New Placement Request or Opportunity." Complete the form entering OPEN as the school and OPEN in the Status field. You may enter a comment if you wish (ie. new unit). Click “Submit.” Schools searching for new placements may sort for OPEN placements by selecting Open in the dropdown and clicking “Search.”
· “Defer”
This placement is tentatively approved but needs to be confirmed prior to sending student to that clinical site or unit. (ie. the unit may possibly under construction at the time the placement is scheduled to begin and other arrangements may need to be made). Once confirmed by the Clinical Partner, that partner needs to process a change marking that placement as “Active” if acceptable or reflecting the change if a change has occurred.
