Web Site Tech Internship Available
The Center for Health Affairs, Northeast Ohio’s hospital trade association located downtown Cleveland, is seeking a web site technical intern for a paid 12 week full-time summer internship.
In this role, the intern will work in a professional environment and be charged with completing a detailed and challenging list of Web site programming and implementation projects to enhance the existing Web site (www.chanet.org), which is hosted onsite using a Microsoft Content Management Server (CMS).
Technical Projects include:

Using VB.net to make cosmetic and navigational updates to the existing Microsoft Content Management Server (CMS) templates and site navigational structure.

Using HTML and ASP.net to create online forms, satisfaction surveys and pop-up instant polls that tabulate results in shared database.

Assist in creating and implementing the structure and pages of a secure members-only section of the Web site (possibly with e-commerce and variable data capabilities.)

Research, design and assist in implementation of social media components, i.e. blog site.

Using ASP.net and SQL to assist in development and implementation of ad-hoc reporting capabilities for hospital and school administrators of the existing high school intern healthcare shadowing program offered by NEONI.

Implement Google web tracking capabilities and research Google Ad Words.

Research and understand AJAX components, make recommendation for utilization.

Develop online sign-up form per department for e-newsletter.

Create online job application form per department to appear on the Contact Us section of the CHA Web site.

Assist in creating programming that efficiently transfers Access data to SQL secure database.
Eligible interns must be experienced and skilled at HTML, ASP.Net, VB.Net, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Microsoft Office Tools.
Experience in C#, XML, Cascading Style Sheets, CMS Microsoft Programming, Javascript, Adobe Photoshop, blog site development experience is preferred but not required.
Intern will report to the marketing director and the IT administrator.
