Certified Tumor Registrar (SE Michigan & NW Ohio)

 

CHAMPS Oncology Data Services, a national Cancer Registry consulting company, is looking for a qualified and motivated Certified Tumor Registrar to manage Cancer Registry Programs located near Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio. 

 

Duties will include abstracting cases in accordance with current state and national accrediting agencies; obtain information (follow-up) on progress of cancer patients; collect and prepare cancer registry studies; perform case ascertainment; maintain cancer registry files for clients; and attend and participate in scheduled Cancer Committee and Tumor Conferences. 

 

Qualified candidates must have a CTR certification and 2-4 years experience abstracting, case ascertainment, follow-up and collaborating with a cancer program for a hospital.

CHAMPS Oncology Data Services is expanding throughout Ohio! We are looking for qualified and motivated Certified Tumor Registrars to manage our client hospitals’ Cancer Registry Program. 

 

Duties will include abstracting cases in accordance with current state and national accrediting agencies; obtain information (follow-up) on progress of cancer patients; collect and prepare cancer registry studies; perform case ascertainment; maintain cancer registry files for clients; and attend and participate in scheduled Cancer Committee and Tumor Conferences. 

 

Qualified candidates must have a CTR certification and 2-4 years experience abstracting, case ascertainment, follow up and collaborate with a cancer program for a hospital. This position will assist experienced and entry-level registry personnel with CoC compliance issues.

 

 

Cancer Registry Assistant

CHAMPS Oncology Data Services is expanding throughout Ohio! We are looking for motivated individuals in the Health Information Management field who want to join our fight in the war on cancer.

 

Duties will include obtaining information (follow-up) on progress of cancer patients; maintain cancer registry files for clients; assist CTR with collecting and preparing cancer registry studies and managing the hospital’s Cancer Registry Program; and daily clerical duties.

 

Qualified candidates must have an RHIA or RHIT certification, or be eligible to sit for the exam; have proficient computer skills; and have the desire to learn.

 

 

Remote Abstractor

CHAMPS Oncology Data Services is looking for Certified Tumor Registrars interested in remote abstracting opportunities. Due to the advancement of CHAMPS ODS clients’ technology, we can offer a great place to work from the convenience of your home office.
