Community Needs Assessment
In 2007, CHA engaged researchers at Cleveland State University and The Center for Community Solutions to conduct an assessment of the health status and needs of Northeast Ohioans. The report reveals information that can be used by a broad array of stakeholders to address challenges facing residents of the region.
The report brings together and analyzes a variety of publicly and readily available sources of data, such as the US Census and Ohio Department of Health birth and death data. It includes chapters on: demographics; access to health care; health status and conditions; health care utilization; maternal and infant health; mortality; health risk and prevention factors; and First Call for Help health-related inquiries.
The analysis is available in full text as well as in two levels of summary:
Overview: PDF
Provides a high-level summary of the findings and draws comparisons with the state and nation.
