The Center for Health Affairs

Question #6:

How do we get the StudentMAX system and how is it funded?

Answer:

NEONI is holding a series of meetings throughout Northeast Ohio with hospitals and any remaining schools of nursing not currently participating in the pilot program to roll out the StudentMAX™  program.  Generally, the hospital decision to participate will reside with the CNO or VP of Nursing and the school decision will be made by the Dean or Director of the Nursing Program.

Once the pilot program is completed in August 2007, continued use of StudentMAX™ will have to be supported through the generation of user fees. The cost to run this program has been carefully calculated based on student enrollment for school participants and registered beds for hospitals. Both fee schedules are based on volume. The program costs cover implementation and maintenance costs for participants; annual computer license and hosting fees; and assures hospitals and schools of continuous customer support from the NEONI staff assigned to the program.   A service agreement to participate may be reviewed by contacting Lisa Anderson at CHA.
